Are you interested in developing administrative skills in the field of psychological services?
We are seeking a self-driven, curious, and tech-savvy volunteer.
Developing practical administrative/clinic skills at Peakminds will help your future job search and help you compete against many with the same education, but without the same sought-after industry experience.
We ask a commitment of 10 hours a week to complete a range of tasks. You will learn about the services we offer, the billing process, the process for therapy and assessments, how to navigate and use the booking calendar and client portal, and how to manage staff schedules. Once trained, you will mainly be responsible for contacting clients via phone and email, triaging them, and booking them with a service and clinician that will meet their needs. You will be expected to have an excellent understanding of our services and processes and relay this information to clients in an effective manner.
You will also be responsible for an assortment of admin-related tasks, such as updating our website, creating forms, and uploading forms.
If you are interested, send us an email with your resume and cover letter. Only interested parties will be contacted. You will be contacted for a virtual interview if selected.
If a position is open, you may be offered a paid contract.

During my time as the Office Director at Peakminds Psychology Services, I have had the opportunity to oversee various aspects of clinic operations, including phone and email correspondence, client inquiries, scheduling, and administrative support. This experience has been incredibly enriching, allowing me to develop strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
One of my key responsibilities is managing client interactions, ensuring that individuals seeking our services receive accurate information and prompt responses. Through this, I have honed my ability to communicate with empathy and professionalism, recognizing the importance of clear and compassionate interactions in a mental health setting. Handling sensitive inquiries has reinforced my understanding of confidentiality and the need for discretion in a clinical environment.
Beyond client communication, I have played a crucial role in maintaining efficient office procedures. My role includes organizing schedules, managing documentation, and streamlining administrative workflows, all of which have enhanced my problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. I have also gained valuable experience in coordinating with clinical staff, ensuring seamless operations and effective teamwork within the practice.
In addition to administrative tasks, I have contributed to improving business processes and service delivery. I have managed updates to essential platforms ensuring that booking, billing, and appointment procedures run smoothly. My role has also involved marketing efforts, including outreach to schools, doctors, and organizations to establish partnerships, as well as assisting with Google Ads and Psychology Today updates.
This role has deepened my appreciation for the intersection of administrative efficiency and mental health care. It has strengthened my ability to balance structure with compassion, ensuring that both clients and staff feel supported.
My experience as an Office Director at Peakminds has not only refined my professional skill set but has also enriched my psychological expertise and reinforced my passion for fostering accessible and well-organized mental health services.
