The Change Room: Mental Health Talks That Change You

The Change Room is a new, free, community talk series from Peakminds Psychology focused on supporting individuals through the cognitive and emotional changes that occur during midlife transitions. Each session provides evidence-informed education, practical strategies, and supportive discussion on topics related to perimenopause and menopause.

Designed to be accessible and empowering, these virtual talks help participants better understand changes in attention, memory, mood, and overall mental wellbeing—while offering practical tools that can be applied in everyday life.

The series creates a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and connect with others navigating similar experiences.

ADHD in Women: Recognition, Myths, and Lived Experience

Highlighting the ways ADHD can present differently in women and girls, why it is often overlooked, and how it can impact emotional regulation, relationships, work, school, and daily functioning. Through practical strategies, psychoeducation, and discussion, this presentation aims to increase understanding, reduce stigma, and help individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered in navigating ADHD across the lifespan.

Psychoeducational Recommendations for School Programming

A clear, practical session for parents who want to understand their child’s psychoeducational report and what to do next. Learn how to work with schools, navigate IEPs and the IPRC process, and confidently advocate for the right supports in the classroom and at home.

The Psychology of Avoidance and Procrastination: Why You Feel Stuck and How to Move Forward 

In this session, we explore the psychology of avoidance and procrastination - why we get stuck, what’s happening beneath the surface, and how these patterns are driven by emotional responses rather than laziness. Learn practical, evidence-based strategies to break the avoidance cycle, reduce overwhelm, and take meaningful action using a simple and realistic tool.

Lost in the fog: understanding and managing attentional difficulties during menopause.

This 45-minute public community presentation provides accessible, evidence-informed education about the cognitive and attentional changes that occur during perimenopause and menopause, along with practical tools attendees can begin using immediately. The session is designed to help increase self-understanding and build concrete self-management skills. It is the first in a multi-session mental community mental health education series called The Change Room.

Session 2 (April 2, 2026):

Stress Management & Burnout 

Feeling constantly drained, even when you’re doing everything “right”? This practical, science-informed session helps you understand the difference between stress and burnout—and what to do about it. Learn how daily demands impact your energy, explore simple tools like the Energy Audit, and walk away with one realistic “reset move” you can use immediately to restore balance and prevent burnout.
