Community Mental Health Program

Dr. Syb Pongracic and associates are registered WSIB providers. We can provide virtual support, Ontario wide.

Who the program is designed for

The Community Mental Health Program is for people who:

  • have a registered WSIB claim or recurrence
  • have experienced a psychological reaction after a work-related physical injury, or
  • have experienced a significant psychological response to a workplace incident or cumulative incidents, such as traumatic mental stress, chronic mental stress, or first responder post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Workers in these occupations that commonly use this program are those in:

  • construction, paramedics, fire fighters, police, nurses, teachers, truck drivers, and more

Assessment reports can be completed after a clinical assessment for individuals who were injured at work or are on a leave of absence (i.e., sick leave) for mental health reasons. Reports can be completed for short-term disability and long-term disability.

Once you have a claim number, contact our office. Our team will call WSIB to confirm approval for an initial assessment and book you in. After the initial assessment, we can book you for sessions with a clinician when WSIB allots entitlement.
