Would you like to have a fulfilling, interesting, and enriching career in psychology? Peakminds offers a professional training program to learn the skills of a psychometrist, also referred to as a psychometrician, who has specialized skills in the administration of psychological tests. Psychometrists work under the supervision of licensed psychologists and neuropsychologists in private clinics and hospitals as a team member who assists in assessment services. Evaluations cover cognitive, educational, and psychological tests for children and adults.
Peakminds offers a foundational psychometry course, followed by in-person practicum training to equip you with hands-on skills and knowledge to work in any clinic that offers formal evaluations.
The 12-week online psychometry course covers concepts such as test administration, scoring, interpretation, psychometric statistics, writing, and much more. After the course, you will have the foundational knowledge in psychometry to take further steps towards your career. To gain in-person practical expertise, apply to be selected for our 16-week practicum training course, which involves 250 hours of hands-on training.

Education Required for Course & Practicum
A bachelor's degree for the online foundational course is required for applicants. After completing the online course you may apply to be selected for the covetted in-person training course (practicum) to gain hands-on skills to be a professional psychometrist.
Individuals with a master's or doctoral degree in psychology or a related field and/or have demonstrated outstanding data, analytical, and writing skills and have some psychometry experience may apply directly to the in-person practicum training course.

Practicum/Internships Applicants
Practicum or internships are in-person in Ontario, Canada or in Georgia, USA. Open to students enrolled in a master's or doctoral in clinical psychology training or research program.
The internship is approximately 20 hours a week and consists of a combination of home study and client work, and weekly supervision. The duration for an internship is between 8 - 12 months.
