How We Support Veterans and Their Families
We are a group of practitioners with diverse clinical experiences. Our associates practice evidence-based interventions and have experience working with complex cases in various settings (e.g., hospital, residential, school, employment, and private practice settings). Our interdisciplinary team approach allows an in-depth understanding of each individual case, allowing us to support the needs of veteran's and their families.
Our services are well suited to those who are experiencing PTSD and other mental health concerns.
We Bill Directly to Veterans Affairs Canada
To ensure approval from Veteran's Affairs Canada to bill for services, we book two weeks out.
Supporting Veteran Families
We understand that PTSD can destroy veterans’ lives and disrupt their home lives. That’s why we provide specialist mental health support to veterans and their families.
Often, the mental health of a veteran's family is overlooked. However, partners and children of veterans are at risk of developing mental health conditions and having an impaired relationship with their loved ones. Make your mental health a priority by taking advantage of the assessment and therapy services we provide.
Children of Veterans
The mental and physical health of the children of veterans if often impacted by the experiences of their loved ones, leading to consequences within their social and school functioning.
We provide psychoeducational assessments for children of veterans. These comprehensive assessments help determine your strengths and weaknesses and are tailored to your individual needs
Partners of Veterans
PTSD can affect the mental health and life satisfaction of a Veteran's partner. The same research studies on Vietnam Veterans compared partners of Veterans with and without PTSD.
Caregiver burden is one idea used to describe how hard it is caring for someone with an illness such as PTSD. Caregiver burden includes practical problems such as strain on the family finances. Caregiver burden also includes the emotional strain of caring for someone who is ill.
We provide psychological therapies and assessments in order to best support partners of veterans, including mental well-being checks, and psychological assessments.
