Joining Peakminds as a psychometrist intern was a fantastic step for my career. After the first few weeks observing, I moved into administering a wide range of cognitive batteries—working with children and adults both with and without autism and intellectual disabilities. It was rewarding to see how each assessment revealed unique strengths and to translate those insights into clear, actionable written reports.

Because the internship is a hybrid between structured learning and self‑paced learning, I took full ownership of my learning—yet I never felt alone. Paired observations with an experienced psychometrist and the ever‑supportive Dr. Syb Pongragic meant I always had expert feedback on my administration techniques and report writing. Their guidance helped me refine my communication and rapport‑building skills, making each testing session smoother and more meaningful for clients.

The key lesson I’ll carry forward is adaptability—each client needs a tailored approach delivered with compassion and professionalism. If you enjoy hands‑on psychometric assessment testing and want meaningful experiences in a supportive environment, Peakminds is the perfect place to grow.
